Mountain Qualification

Special is the (French) “qualification de montagne”. Can be done with a JAA and FAA license.

The DGAC (French IVW) supplies after a successful check ride a statement with your license number that allows you the use of altiports and altisurface in France.

Although it is a demanding course, it is of great value for your pilot skills.
The course often starts with a “qualification de site” that allows you the use of a certain altiport.

The course is every year on the altiport of Megeve and the flying is done on a “Mousquetaire” (a tailwheelplane).
