NIGHT FLYING

To be eligible for the NQ (night qualification) rating to the JAA license, you need:

• 5 hours of flying outside the uniform daylight period of which 3 hours with an instructor
• 1 hour of navigation and 5 full-stop landings.

The FAA license doesn’t have a night qualification rating.

To be eligible for the PPL-check ride you need 3 hours of night flying of which one flight is a X-country flight of minimal 100Nm and 10 touch & go’s
